eMM Web System Terms of Use

The web system provided on this server is intended to assist researchers and practitioners exploring and applying the eMM for their own institutions. This is not a commercial service and is provided as is. Other than as required by New Zealand law, Victoria University of Wellington and Stephen Marshall offer no warrantys or guarantees regarding this system, the analysis performed with it, or any decisions or recommendations made as a consequence of using this system.

We undertake to ensure with all best efforts that your information and identity are kept confidential.

By applying for an account and using the system you are undertaking to agree to the following conditions:

1. You agree that your use of the system is monitored and logged and that the system administrators and researchers can review the information you enter and activities you undertake using the system.
2. You agree to being contacted from time to time by the researchers with invitations to provide feedback and additional information about your use of the eMM and this system.
3. You agree that your use can be terminated at any time by the system administrators at their sole discretion.
4. You undertake not to engage in activities that are liable to damage the system or compromise the security and integrity of the information entered by yourself or any other user, and of the systems maintained and operated by Victoria University of Wellington.
5. You undertake not to knowingly enter information that is inaccurate or intended to mislead.
6. You agree that Victoria University of Wellington and Stephen Marshall accept no liability of any form for damages caused either by the use of this system, the analysis performed with it, or any decisions or recommendations made as a consequence of using this system, other than as required by New Zealand law.
7. You agree that this is a research system and accept that it may be unavailable for extended periods of time as it is further developed.
8. You agree that you take full responsibility for ensuring that any information you provide is stored in alternative forms elsewhere and that no responsibility for loss of data, time or any other consequent loss is accepted by Victoria University of Wellington and Stephen Marshall, save as provided for by New Zealand law.
9. You agree that this system is based within and governed by New Zealand law and that any dispute will be handled in that jurisdiction alone.
10. You agree that these conditions can be updated by Victoria University of Wellington and Stephen Marshall as necessary to ensure the smooth running of this system.
