Key Deadlines in the Award Process

Overview of the Awards

In 2008, funding will be made available for up to six (6) Teaching Excellence Awards, in any of the following 3 categories:

• Sustained Excellence in Teaching
• Excellence in Teaching Innovation
• Excellence in Research-led Teaching

The monetary value of these Awards is 5% of salary (levied on a pro-rata basis if won by a team). Awardees may elect to receive this amount in cash, which is taxable, or as a non-taxed grant to be drawn on by awardees for the support of such things as conference travel, student assistance, equipment, book purchases.
